danny lane

"Like glass itself, Lane’s work is sometimes modernist in its simplicity, and, in a different mood, baroque in its pleasure in ornament." - dannylane.co.uk
I love the way danny plays with form and curves in his sculptures, products and interiors.
he demonstrates how you can get so many different effects and personality out of a single material.

Etruscan Chair (1986)
its said he brought the pionrerred  broken glass as stylish in the 80s when that era's design was slick so that conset was very fresh, i think thats what i like about his work its different because he keeps testing the materials he is using and questioning the process n has mastered them.
Lane’s sculptures exploit the strength of glass under compression and combine feats of design and engineering to produce work, breathtaking in its apparent simplicity. -dannylane.co.uk
