guerrilla-innovation = Hütten Palast ("Hut Palace")

philosophy

There has to be more to life than having everything.” Maurice Sendak

Actually, EVERYTHING is enough for us. But we did not want to settle for less than EVERYTHING in summer 2009. So we decided to create a space in which we can do EVERYTHING, have EVERYTHING, experience EVERYTHING. “The Agency for EVERYTHING,” said Silke, who had more or less lived in an agency for the last five years. “Sounds good! What will we do there?” asked Sarah, as she would rather go to the agency for EVERYTHING than go again to the Employment Agency
i like this design cause its another way of doin something new and different  and sustainable.

all in all I think this a fantastic materiel as its versatile  and its  can be put to more imaginative  uses than a suit of armour :P

werner aisslinger: hemp chair

werner working on the prototype
werner aisslinger: hemp chair: "traditionally, monobloc stackable chairs have been developed with reinforced plastics.
'hemp chair by berlin-based designer/architect werner aisslinger is the first monochair designed with a new technology
in which natural fibers like hemp that are moulded under heat with a special ecological glue resulting in
a sustainable composite material. a complete structure done in a thin layer of material is one of the most
complicated ways to design and engineer a chair. aisslinger's design which features soft curves,
along with a horizontal and vertical ring structure, is a new approach to this complex seating typology.
werner aisslinger is working in partnership with BASF acrodur on the production of the chair
the technology that has been utilized for the 'hemp chair' allows one to use 100 percent natural fibres
in combination with a water-based glue that contains no phenols or formaldehyd. this process enables low cost mass production for 3D objects with a high stability and low specific weight." - werner-aisslinger - hemp-chair
and who doesn't luv hemp ;)
